Effective ECommunications
September 16, 2009

Everything is going "E"... Electronic that is! Why? Because it works! The internet, e-mail, e-magazines, e-newsletters, blogs, facebook, twitter, etc, are all ways people are communicating successfully and being heard. If you want to be successful--communicate online! Easy enough said, but much harder to "do" and to know "how?" It is important to know what messages to send, what types of electronic communications to use, when to send them, how to highlight the important positive messages and design the layouts. E-newsletters and E-magazines have proven to be some of the most successful e-tools used by districts.

E-newsletters on E-newsletters
Michael Katz is a recognized expert in the development of electronic newsletters and helps clients significantly increase sales by showing them how to build on their existing relationships. Michael sends out a bi-weekly "e-newsletter on e-newsletters" that focuses on helping people by showing them how to create and manage effective electronic newsletters. He is involved with local school districts in his area and is aware of the challenges districts face when adapting from the printed newsletter to the e-newsletter.

My School Rocks!
My School Rocks is a printed and electronic magazine where kids and families read about schools together. It's a place where students, teachers, administrators and staff writers publish their best ideas. This magazine so positive about schools it empowers everyone involved. Districts can share success stories and find out what makes schools in their community rock. This magazine is available for all districts at no cost and is used as an effective, positive way to build communication lines between schools and homes.
