David R. Voss has been communicating with the public about education for the past 25 years...as Director of Communications for the Department of Education, Director of Marketing for Apple Computer, past President of the Sunshine State School Public Relations Association and a private consultant and trainer for school boards, superintendents and school districts throughout the country, as well as Fortune 500 companies.

He helped spearhead several statewide publicity campaigns, including Silence Hurts, Education is Everybody's Business, Red Carpet Schools and Teaching is HOT in Florida, which won "Best of State" award from the Florida Public Relations Association. He has helped districts win referendums, gain legislative support, promote initiatives and manage crises. He is managing several bond referendum campaigns to raise funds for both school facilities and operations.

He has trained hundreds of professionals the art of communication, whether it's in front of the camera during a crisis, speaking in front of thousands or meeting one-on-one with an angry parent. He understands 21st Century technology and knows how to leverage it. He understands education...the politics, the issues, the money. Most importantly, he makes the connection between communication and student achievement...our bottom line.
